I started out on radio at age 16 and absolutely loved it, so I wanted to explore this passion in my work. I have worked for radio stations, including Athlone Community Radio, Flirt FM, RTE Jr and RTE Documentary on One and freelance for over fifteen years. I am based in Galway in the West of Ireland and I also work remotely.
I have years of experience in making radio, podcasts, sound art and as an arts educator. I won bronze for radio drama at the Irish Radio Awards 2018 (IMRO) and have been shortlisted for eight European Radio Drama awards and for the Headline Mental Health Media Awards. My work has been broadcast on RTÉ, Newstalk, Resonance FM (UK), DW (Germany) and various commercial and community stations. I was the series producer of Witness with Siobhán Garrigan, a spiritual weekly series that aired on RTÉ Radio 1 in 2023 and 2024.
Recently, I have immersed myself in the dynamic world of street arts and circus as a freelancer producer. I completed Promenade's Future Producers course in 2025. I have been working as a producer with Galway Community Circus on the innovative 'Circus is for Every Body' project. This aim is to make circus more accessible for D/deaf, disabled and neurodivergent young people in Galway. The programme in collaboration with Galway Autism Partnership, Enable Ireland and a class from Scoil Chatriona has seen young people grow in confidence, discover new abilities and express themselves creatively in an accessible environment.
As an arts educator, I foster socially engaged training, that brings a sense of inclusion and uplifts the communities and individuals I work with, through trust, empathy and genuine connection. By bringing a human-centred approach to my workshops and educational programmes, I provide tools for people to tell their own story and shine a light on issues that matter.
I have worked with schools, teachers and students to develop artistic programmes involving sound education, podcasting, radio drama and sound art practice.
